Supported Missionaries

GO | SEND | PRAY

At Promise Child, we believe it will take the whole body of Christ to reach the whole lost world. We believe that reaching the ends of the earth is a collective effort: some go as missionaries, others sustain them through prayer, and many enable the work financially supporting and sending. Not everyone’s calling is to reach the lost as their full-time career, but those who are should be fully supported and enabled by the rest of the church body.

As a ministry, we support missionaries around the globe, who work fervently for the sake of the Gospel. We are honored to host a platform for the dedicated ministry workers listed below. These men and women are from various ministries, churches, and regions of the world that we believe are laboring as unto the Lord and we’ve made it simple for you to join their support teams. Please take a moment to read their stories, watch their videos, and consider becoming a partner in their mission through Promise Child.

Pastor Bosco & Janay Abale

Missionary Family in Uganda

Pastor Bosco and Janay have been working in a rural part of Northwestern Uganda for the past ten years. They are passionate about seeing hearts turn to Jesus. Bosco and Janay have four children whom Janay homeschools. Pastor Bosco is the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Yumbe, situated in the heart of Yumbe District. Yumbe is predominately Muslim, and the church is active in reaching out to them in various ways. Pastor Bosco also serves as the director for a church-affiliated school that serves around 280 children. He directs the Promise Child program in Yumbe as well as oversees 5 church plants in a near-by refugee camp. These church plants are with 5 different tribes of refugees from South Sudan who fled the recent civil war. Pastor Bosco also oversees several camp workers who minister in the refugee camp with Faith Comes By Hearing’s Proclaimers (audio Bibles). Janay is passionate about discipleship and has disciples hundreds of young pre-teen and teen age girls in weekly Bible studies. She also co-leads the women’s ministry at Calvary Chapel Yumbe and loves writing Bible studies for the women and girls. On Sunday mornings she also teaches in the children’s ministry.

Pastor James Flores

Frontline Missions Founder/Director

After working on the piles of Ground Zero, shortly after the 9/11 disaster, The Lord planted the seed of uniting the Body of Christ on the Mission field in James’ heart. James and his wife Brenda would serve with their church locally in southern California and Mexico. But the call to keep going led James to serve in different disaster areas with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team and Samaritan’s Purse.

In 2010 he traveled to Haiti to help serve after the deadly 7.0 earthquake. It was there that God would stir up his heart again. God showed James the beauty of Christian men and women, from different churches and ministries worldwide, serving as one. After much prayer and remembering that the first-century church was able to turn the world upside down for Jesus, after uniting together and answering the call to “Go into all the world,” James and Brenda answered God’s call and founded Frontline Missions in 2011. The purpose of this ministry is to unite churches and Christians on the mission field. For the past nine years, Frontline Missions (FM) has had the honor of serving with many churches and ministries like Promise Child in the U.S. and worldwide; discipling, training, and equipping believers to fulfill God’s great commission. In 2020, after 24 years as a California State employee and 17 years of coaching Cross Country, Pastor James prayerfully decided to retire to serve the Lord and others full time. Instead of taking a salary from FM, he trusts God to provide for him and his family as he faithfully raises money for his support. Through your financial support, Pastor James will continue to serve on the mission field as he takes on the new challenges that God has given him.

Daniel & Becky Cooper

Missionaries to Closed Nations

Dan and Becky Cooper are currently living as missionaries in transition in Pasadena, California. They met in Uganda while Becky was serving at the Promise of Hope House under Promise Child and Dan was serving as a missionary pilot with Samaritans Purse. They quickly fell in love, got married less than a year later, and went straight back to the field after their honeymoon!

While living and serving in Uganda, they experienced some extremely difficult times. After three years of health challenges for Becky that made it feel impossible to stay on the field, the Coopers felt the Lord calling them into a new season. They left Uganda and have spent the past two and a half years healing and recharging in the U.S. The Lord has given them three wonderful kids and they have enjoyed raising them in His ways. Shortly after returning to America, they were accepted into transitional missions housing and have been living there since, using the time to pray and seek the Lord for what He has next for their family.

This past winter they felt the Lord calling them back to the mission field, which was a blessing they did not anticipate. Dan and Becky have a heart for the nations and long to see a dying world fall in love with Jesus and His Word. They feel called to a specific country that we can’t name due to security reasons, and have a great desire to be used by God to lead many to a saving faith in Christ Jesus.

While in Uganda, Dan felt the Lord place within His heart a desire to teach and preach the Word at a greater capacity. As such, he will be starting seminary school at Biola in the fall. Their hope is that this training will prepare their hearts and minds for whatever ministry God has waiting for them. Dan comes alive when he is able to use his gift of service, and he is also a discipler and evangelist at heart- finding great joy in sharing his faith with others. Becky also has a heart for deep discipleship and loves any chance she can get to shepherd women’s hearts to know and treasure God and His Word.

Jared Johnson

Campus Revive Director

In his college years, Jared was gripped by stories of revival through Christians’ extraordinary gatherings in prayer. “If we will pray, might God do it again?” By God’s grace, he was able to start a prayer/evangelism group at Cal State Fullerton that turned into “Campus Revive,” a ministry bent on inspiring, gathering, and equipping Christian students to pray for revival and proclaim the gospel on the frontlines of culture: the college campus.

Jared has completed his Master of Divinity at The Master’s Seminary and established the ministry as a fully recognized nonprofit organization. His vision is to partner with local churches in developing prayer and evangelism movements that will cover every campus in Orange County and beyond.

Antonio Ortega

Campus Revive Ministry Worker

Antonio Ortega has been with Campus Revive for 5 years and has a passion to reach the lost for Christ on college campuses. Campus Revive has been an encouragement and inspiration to his faith. Because of this ministry, he has a stronger case to present as to why Christ is the answer to the salvation of humanity.

With God’s help, his hope is to make it a lifestyle—proclaiming and unlocking the truths of Scripture to college students in order to advance the message of the gospel on the frontlines of the culture: the college campus, where he desires to see spiritual revival take place among students.

Pastor Brent Kaser

Promise Child Founder/ Director

Pastor Brent and Nancy Kaser founded Promise Child in 2003 after the Lord burdened their hearts for hurting children. Brent has been a missions and men’s pastor for over 25 years, and his desire is to stir up the body of Christ to reach the nations with the gospel. Pastor Brent travels to each of the Promise Child countries as often as possible to provide accountability to our sponsors and to disciple our in-country workers.

In 2020, Pastor Brent prayerfully decided to go full time with Promise Child as a fully partner-funded team member! Instead of taking a salary from Promise Child or spending most of his time working another job, Pastor Brent faithfully raises his support. This allows him to provide for his family, minister full time with Promise Child without adding overhead costs to donations, and travel as often as needed to reach the lost and make disciples of all nations.
