GO | SEND | PRAY

At Promise Child, we believe it will take the whole body of Christ to reach the whole lost world. We believe that partnership is critical. We believe that as Christians, we must go as missionaries, pray for our missionaries, or send our missionaries. Not everyone’s calling is to reach the lost as their full-time career, but those who are should be fully supported and enabled by the rest of the church body. As a ministries we support missionaries around the globe, who work fervently for the sake of the Gospel. Below are listed a few missionaries we support that actually receive their support through Promise Child. These missionaries are from various ministries, churches, and regions of the world that we believe are laboring as unto the Lord and have created a way for them to raise partners through Promise Child. Please consider supporting one or more of the ministry workers below.

Pastor Bosco also serves as the director for a church-affiliated school that serves around 280 children. He directs the Promise Child program in Yumbe as well as oversees 5 church plants in a near-by refugee camp. These church plants are with 5 different tribes of refugees from South Sudan who fled the recent civil war. Pastor James Flores

Frontline Missions Founder/Director

After working on the piles of Ground Zero, shortly after the 9/11 disaster, The Lord planted the seed of uniting the Body of Christ on the Mission field in James’ heart. James and his wife Brenda would serve with their church locally in southern California and Mexico. But the call to keep going led James to serve in different disaster areas with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team and Samaritan’s Purse. In 2010 he traveled to Haiti to help serve after the deadly 7.0 earthquake. It was there that God would stir up his heart again. God showed James the beauty of Christian men and women, from different churches and ministries worldwide, serving as one. After much prayer and remembering that the first-century church was able to turn the world upside down for Jesus, after uniting together and answering the call to “Go into all the world,” James and Brenda answered God’s call and founded Frontline Missions in 2011. The purpose of this ministry is to unite churches and Christians on the mission field. For the past nine years, Frontline Missions (FM) has had the honor of serving with many churches and ministries like Promise Child in the U.S. and worldwide; discipling, training, and equipping believers to fulfill God’s great commission. In 2020, after 24 years as a California State employee and 17 years of coaching Cross Country, Pastor James prayerfully decided to retire to serve the Lord and others full time. Instead of taking a salary from FM, he trusts God to provide for him and his family as he faithfully raises money for his support. Through your financial support, Pastor James will continue to serve on the mission field as he takes on the new challenges that God has given him.

Paige & Danny Rios

Missionaries in La Mision, Mexico

Paige and Daniel serve the community of La Misión in Baja California, Mexico. They met in 2019 while working at Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO), were married in 2020, and have served in a number of ministries ever since. For 3 years now, Daniel has been busy starting and running a school for children whose families work on the local farms and do not have the means to give them an education. Through God’s provision, these students are able to attend school free of charge; their transportation, school supplies, etc. are all covered by generous donors. What started as a small school of 2 teachers and 17 students has quickly grown to 4 teachers and 59 students! As both a teacher and the director of the school, Daniel’s vision is that the lives of these children, their families, and even future generations would be transformed through education. It is very apparent that the Lord is using this school to bring Daniel’s vision to life!

Paige has spent the last 2 years working with Morning by Morning Ministries, a local nonprofit that uses music and dance to take the Gospel to kids in orphanages and women/young girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. Recently, Paige transitioned from teaching dance with MBMM to teaching art classes at Daniel’s school. In addition to teaching art, she is responsible for keeping the school stocked with cleaning and school supplies, planning school events, and helping the teachers with whatever else is needed. As they now work side by side, Daniel and Paige have the opportunity to share the Gospel with their students and be a living example of Christ’s love to both them and their families. Their desire is to see God radically change each of these families through both education and a deep relationship with Jesus.

Jared Johnson

Campus Revive Director

In his college years, Jared was gripped by stories of revival through Christians’ extraordinary gatherings in prayer. “If we will pray, might God do it again?” By God’s grace, he was able to start a prayer/evangelism group at Cal State Fullerton that turned into “Campus Revive,” a ministry bent on inspiring, gathering, and equipping Christian students to pray for revival and proclaim the gospel on the frontlines of culture: the college campus.

His goal is to become a fully-established non-profit that develops prayer movements covering every campus in intercession, followed by evangelism movements blanketing the campus with the gospel. Currently, Jared is directing the ministry with the help of his board and several friends to stir and train local college students at Cal State Fullerton for prayer, revival, and evangelism. Jared is concurrently working on his M.Div part-time at The Master’s Seminary.

Pastor Brent Kaser

Promise Child Founder/ Director

Pastor Brent and Nancy Kaser founded Promise Child in 2003 after the Lord burdened their hearts for hurting children. Brent has been a missions and men’s pastor for over 25 years, and his desire is to stir up the body of Christ to reach the nations with the gospel. Pastor Brent travels to each of the Promise Child countries as often as possible to provide accountability to our sponsors and to disciple our in-country workers.

In 2020, Pastor Brent prayerfully decided to go full time with Promise Child as a fully partner-funded team member! Instead of taking a salary from Promise Child or spending most of his time working another job, Pastor Brent faithfully raises his support. This allows him to provide for his family, minister full time with Promise Child without adding overhead costs to donations, and travel as often as needed to reach the lost and make disciples of all nations.

Pastor Gary Kusunoki

Anchored International Relief Director

Pastor Gary and his wife Carol have been involved in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years. Even before Pastor Gary served in fulltime ministry he and Carol developed and pursued their passion to reach a lost world for Jesus. Since that time he has been a senior pastor, missions pastor, police chaplain and short term missionary traveling in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the South Pacific. Pastor Gary’s heart is to minister to the ministers by teaching, counseling and supporting missionaries and missionary pastors throughout the world. Gary and Carol have been involved in church plants and medical missions as they have God’s heart for compassionate evangelism.

In January of 2021, Pastor Gary and Carol prayerfully made a decision to leave the full-time pastoral ministry at Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano to go full time as a partner-funded team member. They will be home-based missionaries splitting their time between Nepal, Latin America and Africa. They will also continue to be involved in police chaplaincy both through Gary’s volunteer work with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department as well as the chaplaincy work in Mexico and other parts of the world. Pastor Gary and Carol have been married over 38 years and have ten children. Six of their daughters live and work in the US and four are in East Africa. As a family they are all passionate about serving Jesus to do whatever He calls them to do, wherever He calls them to do it and whenever He tells them to go. “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.'” Isaiah 6:8
