Founded in 2003, Promise Child is a community of believers who sponsor children in Haiti, South Asia, Asia, South Sudan, Uganda and have project-driven outreach in America. Pastor Brent Kaser, who leads Promise Child, vividly recalls when he received the vision from God calling him to serve hurting children. It was a hot and humid July afternoon in 1999. We were traveling through Nepal’s largely untouched far western flat lands and were stopped at an army checkpoint where it is typical to see armed Nepali military personnel. As we waited to be excused, a young girl approached our car carrying a basket of lemons on her head. Her unkempt hair laced the shoulders of her worn and filthy blouse with missing buttons. Her skirt, caked with mud and covered with stains, hung loosely about her thin frame. Her feet were filthy from what was probably a long, hot walk along the dusty roads leading to the main highway.
She approached our car and asked if we would purchase the fruit for change. I felt compelled to have our contact ask her if I could pay her for her picture instead. Upon this request, she lit up. At that moment, it seemed that time stopped and that the glory of God was shining through the smile of this child. As we drove away, I was left to ponder…can a simple show of love change a child’s life? Can love bring hope? I remembered the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” I knew at that moment that my heart was being pulled toward children in third-world countries. I knew that bringing children to Christ would be bringing them to love, hope, and a future as a Promise Child. I hope that God would stir in your heart a desire to partner with us in shining God’s glory through Promise Child.

Promise Child is a non-denominational Christian non-profit organization. Although we stand firm on our doctrinal beliefs, we also believe in partnership with the whole church body, including those who are denominational.
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
"For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe." 1 Thessalonians 2:13
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;" 2 Timothy 3:16
THE TRINITY
We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." Ephesians 4:4-6
SIN & REPENTANCE
We believer that while all people are born dead in their sin, salvation is freely offered to all through Jesus Christ. This is received when a person repents and believes the good news that Jesus saves.
"And you were dead in your trespasses and sins...But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)," Ephesians 2:1,4-5
"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:19
SALVATION
We believe that those who have received this salvation are now sealed by the Holy Spirit who strengthens us to live for God in all we do.
"In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation— having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise," Ephesians 1:13
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5:16-21
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to Christian enabling us to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to all peoples of all nations.
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,'" Matthew 28:18-19
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8
MOST IMPORTANT MISSION
We believe that the most important mission of Promise Child is to make disciples and raise up nationals to disciple their own people.
"The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." 2 Timothy 2:2
"So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, 'if you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;'" John 8:31
CONVICTION
We believe that the Spirit of God convicts the heart of man and draws people to Himself.
"And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;" John 16:8
"And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:5
DUTY TO OTHERS
We believe that because the poor, orphans, and widows will never cease to be with us, we should freely give, defend, and plead for them as Jesus Himself did.
"Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow." Isaiah 1:17
"For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’" Deuteronomy 15:1
PRACTICAL & SPIRITUAL
We believe that through providing basic needs for children and their families, doors will be opened for the Gospel.
"And one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,' and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself." James 2:16-17
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

We Engage
We engage a wide variety of communities and it's always our aim to not bring a cookie-cutter program, but rather to effectively adapt to the specific needs and culture of the communities we work in. Some locations need more medical care, some church planting, some secondary school opportunities, and others may need safe houses. We want to meet others where they are in order to give them access to the hope found only in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We Partner
We realize that bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth requires Christians and organizations to link arms. Promise Child partners with multiple ministries. We are a part of Vision 2033 partnering with over 400 like-minded nonprofit organizations and churches to help fulfill the Great Commission by translating the last known languages of the world into the Bible in written and audio format by 2033.

We Guarantee
Due to donations to our general fund, Promise Child is able to cover all transfer and wiring fees so that 100% of child sponsorship funds go directly to providing for the needs of our children. No administrative fees, no percentage is taken from your donation, no guessing when it comes to your impact! As a whole we are proud to say we operate on an average of 4% overhead.

We Employ
Promise Child supports more than 65 native ministry workers and overseas missionaries to help implement our programs and bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Supporting locals allows for greater reach to those in the community because there is no language or culture barrier in bringing the Gospel to the unreached. This also allows us to have personal, one-on-one interaction with each Promise Child in our program.
